“ Really love Assam fish head and sotong goreng kunyit. Service is really good. Not crowded in the weekday. I am going there again if I am in JB. ”

We ordered the fish head curry, salted egg squid and sweet potato leaf cooked with garlic. However, the food was only so so and not wow despite the places being almost full house after we were seated. I may give this restaurant another try. ”
“ Found this high rated store on maps, seems to be a family owned restaurant no decoration but clean enough. Good value of money, we two people order fish head curry (love it cause the curry wasn’t too spicy and there were some vegetables with the curry), potato leaves (so-so, leave was a bit old), and salted egg fried soto (partner loves it but I feel it’s a bit too sweet) ”

“ I was on a hunt for good fish curry and saw that Sulam has good reviews so decided to give it a try. I must say that not just their fish curries but all the other dishes I ordered were excellent. The fish and other seafood were extremely fresh and they put minimal salt so I could really taste the freshness of the ingredients. Other dishes like their fried chicken and otah were all mouth watering. I will be more than happy to eat there everyday! Of course, a good restaurant has to come with good service. Their staff are always attentive and helpful, and if you have a chance to meet the friendly owner who has run this restaurant for 30 years, he would chat you up and make you feel very welcome and warm like a family. His friendly son also helps out at the restaurant. A must go to restaurant in JB and every dish is a must try! ”
“ Moved to KL for more than 10 years but I still visit this cosy neighbourhood restaurant whenever I go back to JB if time is allowed. The price is reasonable. The curry is delicious, not too spicy, but everything is well-balanced. The fish is always fresh and tender. I love the otak-otak, and even fried kangkong is crisp and perfectly cooked. This was my first time ordering salty egg-fried squid. It's delicious, too, but not my favourite as the batter is slightly thicker. Overall, this is definitely one of my favourite curry ikan places, not just in JB but throughout Malaysia. ”
